A few ragged edges, but still beauty Divine, according to the LORD, the author, and Creator of life (Ecclesiastes 3:11, He has made everything beautiful in its time...). I find this tulip so amazing of how God created and formed it with its edges unrefined, but yet when we (or most of us) look at it, we see nothing but its beauty as a whole. Here this tulip is doing the very purpose it was created to accomplish, to rise above the dirt and the enemies that seek to devour it. Yes, this unique tulip has pushed through the hard circumstances and is, with great beauty fulfilling its purpose, its only reason for life, which is to bring glory to the Creator, God.
Many times, in my life, I have felt like my ragged edges have done more harm than good and that those frayed edges are the only parts that others can see, can anyone relate? For me, it's the times in life where I've allowed my flesh to control my choices, resulting in the voice of my flesh, leaving me with regret, and 100% of the time much sorrow. Thankfully, because of Jesus, we too can rise above the "dirt and the enemies that seek to devour." Praise the Lord for His mercy, for His mercy is more excellent than words can describe or comprehend!
When you and I, Gods created part of His royal family come to know Him as Savior and Lord, because of the shed blood of Jesus, we now can see ourselves as a "whole" beauty, just as we see the tulip. Remember the way we look at this tulip and see complete beauty; we should often remind each other of the fact that our wonderful Creator has always seen us this way, His masterpiece of beauty even with our sin or "ragged edges" included. Yes, He knew we would need the Savior, Jesus Christ. Still, He promised to us that He would finish His masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10, "For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.) of beauty He started in us!
As I close and share with you a fun memory of a beautiful Spring Day enjoying photographing these amazing tulips, we too my brothers and sisters in Christ…and those still unsure about surrendering to Jesus. We also can accomplish the "good things He planned for us long ago." Praise Jesus, yes, with His Spirit of strength and a mustard seed of faith, we can push through the hard circumstances, and with great beauty fulfill our purpose, which is to bring glory to our Father, Creator, and beloved Savior.
Blessings,
Christy Wright
